On December 9, the Moroto–Lokitanyala Road Upgrading Project (the ML Project), undertaken by China Railway No.3 Engineering Group under CREC, ?passed completion acceptance.
Located in northeastern Uganda, the ML Road has a total length of approximately 42 kilometers. The upgrading project fully transformed the original gravel road into a high-standard two-way, two-lane roadway with double-layer surface treatment, designed for a speed of 80 kilometers per hour.
After being opened to traffic, the project has enhanced transportation capacity and efficiency in northeastern Uganda, playing an important role in improving local livelihoods and promoting regional trade and economic development.
